How To Fruit My Mushroom Block

Try our cost-effective box tech for mushroom fruiting: place blocks in a box with high walls, directly spray the block for 3 days, then maintain humidity by misting inside the box really well, (Do Not Directly Spray the Block After 3 Days) without blocking holes or sealing the top. Spraying your blocks will initiate the fruiting stage.

Four Things To Always Maintain

Just like any plant, mushrooms need Four environmental elements to grow well.

  • Humidity
  • Temperature
  • Indirect Sun Light
  • Fresh Air/Without getting hit with a breeze

HUMIDITY: Most beginners lose their mushrooms from the very beginning. Only because they don't maintain a high humidity in their box. Keeping the inside off your box constantly moist can be easily achieved. Even if you have to place a wet towel inside your box. That will help immensely. Mushrooms are a single cell organism, hence why they grow so fast. The Pink Oyster is notorious for drying out during the pining stage due to low humidity. The Pink Oyster Mushroom is a true tropical strain.

Temperature: Just like anything in life Temperature matters. You don't want to cook your mushrooms or your block. If the temperature is too high, then you have to really watch your humidity. The hotter it is, the faster it will dry up!

Indirect Sunlight: This is another part of the process that helps initiate the fruiting process. When the blocks get hit with water and indirect sunlight, it's telling the Mycelium to WAKE UP!!

Indirect sunlight is also how the mushrooms form their color, and produce vitamin D.

NEVER LET YOUR BLOCKS GET HIT WITH DIRECT SUNLIGHT!

Fresh Air: Ok, this one is where some might get confused. Mushrooms do need fresh air to grow well. Mushrooms are closer to the animal kingdom than the plant kingdom. They breathe Oxygen and release Carbon dioxide. If Oyster Mushrooms don't get enough fresh air, their stem grow very long and leggy. You want big caps, only because it's the softest part of the mushroom. A box with no top usually works fine for fruiting your mushrooms. In some cases, customers do grow a lot of mushrooms, which in turn will increase the Co2 lvls, that's when you can use a fan.

BUT NEVER RUN A FAN WITHOUT YOUR HUMIDITY ON AT THE SAME TIME! Use a mist maker or pond fogger to increase your humidity. Finding balance between the two will be your next task.
